To built a wireless network, you need one access point for center network. You also need wireless LAN device in every PC to get connected to the network.
If you want to connect two device via wireless, no need to buy expensive access point device. You can connect your PC via ad hoc (Computer to Computer). One PC act like access point and the other as a client.
In Windows Vista, you can easy turn your PC into access point. Just follow this steps:
1. Click Start > Control Panel > Network and internet > Network and Sharing Center.
2. On the panel task in the right, choose option Set up a connection or a network.
3. After opening new wizard, choose option Set up wireless ad hoc (Computer to Computer) Network and click button Next twice.
4. After that, fill column Network name with your Network name. you can freely this name as you wish.
5. Set your security type as you want on the column Security type with the Security key on the under column. If finish, click button Next.
6. Wait for a moment for creating the network and if succes, you will get notify that your network ready to use. Click Close button to close the wizard.
Now, your computer is a access point. You can find it in the list of your wireless network. You can find your access point there.
