Portable Application is an applictions who run directly from portable disk like USB Flash Drive (UFD), CD-R or memory card without installation needed. Most of portable application not needed an installation proccess, all you have to do is copy to portable storage disk and run EXE file and use it. Some of them needed to install but not to your computer or harddisk, but to your portable storage disk.

You’re portable disk also can get infected by virus. you need to protect it with portable antivirus also. So, event you’re using different computer, you’re UFD is safe fro virus attact. But, you need a large UFD space, because your portable antivirus also needed to be updated their virus database to protect you from the latest virus.
